I have a little problem replacing old TCBC (GDA26800KA1) to GECB (GGA26800LJ20).
Problem is when I connect E2TB device(GBA26800NS10) with old TCBC eeprom to the GECB board, E2TB led1 will not stay "on" after first power off like it should be. Led keeps flashing unregulated after that first power off. I have tried different E2TB device and GECB board, but it will not work. I have also check that software is "standard software" and higher than GP130782GAK. I have done this same board replacement process with different elevator and it worked well.
Do you guys have anything which would help with this situation?
It’s possible that what you are seeing on the LED is indicating that the software is doing a watchdog reset because it’s getting in an endless loop when trying to transfer the EEPROM data using the E2TB.
I do not know what version of TCBC software you had, but maybe it’s very old and the new GECB software, when trying to transfer the EEPROM contents, is somehow getting messed up. That is one possible cause - but of course it’s impossible to say if it is really what’s happening. Perhaps something is being logged in the error log on the GECB? Or maybe you see erratic behavior of other things like the SVT/OFT is not working.
