Is there a version of generic software that increases jack resync time from 30 seconds to 60 seconds (tac 20)

I was thinking a version 5 had come out in the last few years, I just attempted v4r5p with no luck.

Does anyone know for sure?

I don’t think resync time ever went above 30 seconds. Too long can be a problem though, when the pistons fall away from the style caps you can suck air into the jacks. They are not meant to fall away, that’s not what the long bolts are for. If the runby & dovetail are right the check valves open when the car hits the springs and the jacks sync.

I’ll have to dig in and check what runby is supposed to be, is there a hard and fast rule typically? Or does it vary by job?

Also, excuse my ignorance, what do you mean by dovetail?

Dovetail is the distance from the bottom of the cylinder to the jack casing on a fully compressed buffer. It should only be about 1/16” on these so that when the car does a resync and sits on the springs the jacks are 2-1/2” (buffer stroke) from being bottomed out so the check valves can open and pressure can equalize between all stages. Bottom overtravel must be at least 8-1/2” so there is dovetail and the jacks don’t bottom out before compressing the buffer. This also ensures that when the springs are pulled to manually sync the jacks they can bottom out before striking the buffer stands or you would never be able to manually equalize the jacks.
