I have an old westinghouse from the late 60's with relay logic. Its a hydro. Old door operator has the 2 diode 6 resistor pyramid on top of car. Car has sn Interference timer, AST, ASTT, reopening etc
My issue is that adter I adjusted door speeds, the car runs perfectly for 36 hours. Then suddenly just on door close, the door soeed gets choked off snd the car door closes at a speed so slow that it triggers the reopen circuit. Car always works for 36-=40 hours then flows back to the slow thing. Relay 45t, 70, etcs,., all seem to be functioning. I need help. Looking for any ideas at this point because this is getting to a point of exhaustion.


Looks like control type is 2BC on the prints. Not sure what component can function for 36 hours then stop working. Any help will be appreciated and potentially paid.

Is it an HY operator with the belt?

What do you do to make it work again? Have you replaced the ziner dioeds on top? I would be looking for a possible resistor getting hot and opening. Have you looked at door motor brushes?Also check contacts and Bakelite on 43/44 relays normally closed on opposite relay can cause problems
