I am the second mechanic responding to this call of Elevator, not running after some storms in the area. The first mechanic found a bad VVVF hardware VM control board. We We swapped the board with one from another Controller on the job.
The elevator now runs, but it will only run at inspection speed,65 FPM, even though it has a command to run high speed, 350 FPM.
It runs on inspection fine and VEL and MTRV are equal.
On an automatic run, the elevator takes off and the CPU command speed ramps up to 350, the car speed only ever gets up to 65. After a few seconds the command speed drops down to 50 and error code 8 is generated. Velocity tracking Error.
Related parameters seem to match the other car in the duplex that is running fine. Motor velocity encoder coupling is good power supply voltages seem good also swapped out gate driver and digital current regulator board.
