I'm going to be replacing a jack soon on a mod job. In the pit I noticed there is a 4" pipe line with a cap sticking up from the pit floor right next to the pit steel and jack cylinder. Anyone know what this is for? The oil line is above ground so it's definitely not that.
Might be to either pump ground water out from around the jack casing and liner, or the feed tube where the anti corrosion stuff was added to help ward off rust to the jack. Looks like water intrusion is not uncommon.
