Never heard of a corporate adjuster but I've heard of a regional adjusters. Our regional adjuster comes in when we have a issues the local adjuster cannot fix. Those problems usually deal with engineering issues, the design, the software is causing the issues. They don't work out of a local branch and don't get paid by the local office At Thyssen they work for ITS. When they do come into town they do not touch any tools or do any work. They'll walk thru a card carrying member in that local to fix the problems. There are some regional adjusters that still have a card but out of respect they don't work alone or turn wrenches they allow us to perform the actual work.
