Hi everyone,
this is more or less a generic question regarding the 3300. I know that the 3300 is the Schindler traction MRL with the controller in the top terminal door buck and the 400a is pretty much the same thing but with the controller in a closet.
We are thinking about taking some on and want to know if anyone has successfully maintained them? Anyone know of any tools that can work on these controllers?
We have a ton of 330a's on service but the 330a seems much different than what is on these units.
Any info, advice, or where to get a tool to work on these would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if we were to lose the main processor board for whatever reason would Schindler be needed to install a new one or can you perform learn runs/address board from the LCD?

I've been lucky enough not to see a 3300 but I can assure you that from what I've heard, it's nothing close to a 400A or a 330A. All the codes, boards and nomenclature are totally different.

They are ok once you get used to them, like all things having the book helps no end..
I can only assume that a 400a and a 330a are similar to the European Schindler Smart in which case it is a lot different to a 3300.
The Engineers in Europe are now using I Phones to connect to the Bionic system and doing software upgrades to restrict what parameters can be adjusted on the on board display.
Which really is not helpful

about the only thing you can't do is adjust a new drive if it goes bad and you don't have the laptop to talk to it. nearly everything else important is adjustable from the lcd. Error codes can be seen from the lcd. Most error code are referenced to acronyms or abbreviations on the circuit print along with addresses. Drive are not fun to change, older models have aux relay contact troubles. High turn over. Not seen any bootleg software yet

also there are two small cips near the lcd that are delivered after the controllers are delivered during construction. This is so they can legaly remove them when they loose the job as they are not part of the original controller(tricky). Without these chips the lcd is limited and laptop does not work. Make sure the owner keeps these chips. They are Small and located behind a black cover that slides up the opens. The elevator will work normally without them but later on when diagnosing you will be up the creek

I really need some info on these elevators. I inherited one with no manual or prints and they trip out and shut down very easily. If anyone can email me something I'd sure appreciate it. My email is [email protected]
