Have an 8 stop that stops at every floor in the up direction and opens doors like its answering car calls but none are registered. Down direction is normal. No faults registered

AC is broke in penthouse. Heat related?

make sure its not on auto call. I have had these units in Power Plants where the MR temps were really bad and they would still perform correctly. Also if you have a call at an upper level and the boards in the NET box aren't set correctly it will stop at every floor on the way to the destination floor. although it would register as a fault. Are there other cars in the group?

It's a 4 car group. Auto call would have it running continually. It's not. Only this car doing it.

I appreciate your help on this and wanted to let you know that I am not onsite and working with another tech who is. FYI

if the auto call table has only up direction calls it could do this. also does the group have a common panel, or is it series communication?

One of my other Kone buddies told me to turn all. 4 off. Then turn them on in order. Of course it worked. Sometimes we have no explanations. Just like restarting your laptop when it locks up.
