Does anyone have good info on these? Having some issues with how "emergency recall" is suppose to work. The state wants is to work as installed but I have no idea. What I am told is this is pre fire service but it should work like fire service, but I'm not hooked to any smokes or heats?? Reason I'm confuse is I have (2) 30 auv and (2) 10 ucls and not one of them are the same??

All the 10UCLS I've had (down to a duplex now) did not have fire service. Unfortunately I can't help with prints either as all the ones I had either got destroyed or missing.

Our fire service(im not in the US) is done in 2 parts generally which may be like what you have. You have a fire service recall switch on the main entry lobby landing panel. This switch cancels all car calls, activates the main lobby car call on the cars and sends them back down. It then parks the cars with the doors open ready for the fireman to use. They would then have to turn on the fire car(not normally more than 1 lift) to on. You then turn it to start to close the doors after you push a floor. It also puts the lift on attendant control and will only allow 1 floor at a time to go on. When you get to a floor you have to push the door open button to open the doors but if the doors aren't more than half way open, it will auto close if you take your finger off the button. So check your button circuits for what appears like a recall system.

If I remember correctly it was to be used as phase one fire service, key side function only. It's why you have no smokes or heats brother. Everything else was the same, including the phase 2 that uppo described.

ok the hall switch recalls the car, the key switch inside the car gives me control, on the 30auv i have constant pressure close but not for open, on the 10ucls i have constant pressure open but not close. The state wants in writing how these worked when installed, and if they are correct? the 30auv from what i was told was a prototype? i have no help finding info on these. i guess what i would need is a sequence of operation maybe?

You can try Unitec? Otis has a decent archive of manuals and prints. The only negative is getting them to access it...

Ramone has been great to work with give him a try!

Yeah, sounds like it's just a button function issue. You have the hard part done, now getting those peekaboo doors rolling correctly should be a snap.

no fire service upgrade, i think this was pre~fire service that is why it is called emergency recall. just so you all get a good laugh....i caught one of the 10 ucls controllers on fire today melted 3 telephone/pileup relays....oooooops. someone made a wire change and never marked it on the print.

Does your unit have the box with the 4x5 cards w/leds on the edge and flat-pack relays? If it does, Otis either added it or it came from the factory like that and Otis would have the prints(thru Unitech. You should be able to tell the sequence of operation from the schematics.

no 4x5 cards, no overlay's . i can walk myself threw the ucls and get the basic's for how this is to work but the AUV controllers have 40+ pages of prints and after 40 years of people "making changes" it is like reading mud. i did order a set of original prints so i can see what changes have be made over the years? i'll keep everyone posted.
