Tool will still connect with dead battery. You will just need to do a hoistway learn if you loose power with a dead battery. And I meant to say CLC, not CPU in my first response.

If it's a "Cold Start" 015 I think, you'll have to learn the hoistway, validate the floors and openings front and rear, set the parameters for fire service if applicable, maybe even do learn runs on the doors too. Wow, now that I'm thinking about it, slowdown count... I think the car forgets everything on a 015 error. Hope you have access to the DMC hand book. Rodney's right in that even with a dead battery the tool will still communicate. Maybe the power supply in the COP is cooked? 5 and 12 volts are present at that P/S? And...is the red LED lit on the CLC a card?

Try hooking up directly to the controller... But chances are you lost the battery, so a set up will be needed.

Trick I have used. Isolate your boards. Disconnect the door operator(s)- DOC1 and selector(if you have one)-CSC3. Connect your tool into the SINGLE port in the car station. - If you gain CLC comm then plug in car top boards one at a time until you reestablish comm with everything or plugging in a particular board causes comm to drop. Replace the board that causes the comm to drop. - If you don't get CLC comm by isolating it and you have verified power supplies going to the CLC, replace the CLC.

also like CSL indicates there is another trick, if you unplug the connectors at the door and selector, you leave the connector on that goes to the port from door board and selector board, you can still communicate to each board individually without being connected to the CLC. this way you can be sure your door or selector card is communicating. with them unplugged, you can then try port in cop, and see if you establish comm to clc. same idea as CSL but while you are on cartop, you can at least verify comm to each board. selector ok light should be blinking, not on solid. if it is on solid, selector board probably no good if it was a power spike, always possible that it took out all 3 boards.

I ran through all the checks in order isolated all boards and none of them will talk to the tool. The tool is good checked on the car next to this one all works well. Af for the manual it says the chips could be damaged or all boards are bad i find that hard to believe but the combination of single phasing and generator power together could have created exotic issue?

Hi, I was told on the DMC you have to turn on a parameter to enable save mode. Not sure if that is true or not. Any one know?

We got the selector and rear door setup the front doors works but trys to open on 1st floor were there is no opening, this happens when you place a car call to upper floor, also if you place car call to first floor the car goes to top if hoistway
