We are installing a prox reader in the cab. In the traveler, there are extra wires but are unshielded. Have any of you had any access control techs install readers using unshielded cable without any interference?

What would be an estimate for time to install a shielded 6 conductor cable to the elevator (3 story hydro)?

A day in most cases. But is this adjacent or remote machine room? Is it a duct wire way or conduit? Just these 2 conditions make a big difference on your answer.
