FCP error fly 21 and 985, can get the car to take off on auto make, any help would be appreciated.

21 and 985 are errors related to the software. You will need a tool to see your way with these issues.

However, with these error codes comes the potential for something dangerous.

The elevator should be placed out of service.

While you are working on it don't let people ride it.

21=EEPROM Read / Write Error�This will prevent the car from operating. Verify the content of PAR,
FCP parameters with the FAST tool.
Parameter out of range
Defective EEPROM
Defective CPU card
Type GET, RES, RFL and cycle CPU

985= T4 NTSD checkpoint position or speed reference table invalid or not set-up.
As JKH says you have a serious problem. Probably a bad EEPROM Chip.

FYI - FCP Error
When one of my employees removed the CPU in and out without the power off the erased the Floor Counts Positions, because the encoder back up battery was dead. I did and ASU (automatic set up) on inspection and ran the car from the bottom normal to the top normal. We also had some parameters out of range that we corrected by copying the parameters from a running car. car is back in service. Anyone have a DSP board?
