Did you try calling garaventa, they're normally pretty helpful.

When you do an MLR, do the hall buttons flash in a circular pattern? On a ten year old unit, I would expect them to flash. On a fifteen unit, I would not expect this. I'm trying to guess the age of the equipment. Which other leds are lit? If you have a motor drive, does it display anything? Have you tried to manually move the unit? Is it bound and cant move? Is the unit in the up position or the down position? Does the unit have a home park position or are all positions actual floor stops?

check for continuity between the steel cable and the tube. Been having lots of issues with this and garaventa has told me its best to change the cable. the 24VDc feed connection point can fray which in turn shorts out against the tube. it's near impossible to get at the connection point. Need to pull the carriage off.
