Just thought I would pass on a little info about the tdc door operator, when used in conjunction with the mphII controller. We have had two calls in the last month where the doors would not close, either on automatic, or from the door operator switches when put in manual mode. Both the door motor and door operator board were replaced but still the problem persisted. I was called to assist and found that the STE signal from the floor control board was a 0, indicating a door detector, door open button etc. was activated. The door will not close if STE signal is low even if you are trying to close the door manually from tdc board test switches. Most door boards will allow you to operate the door from the car top using the manual switches regardless of the door detector status. This is the assumption that caused both mechanics to replace the motor and the control board. the fix on one car was to replace the floor control board, and the other was to repair the door hold open switch that a hotel had added to keep doors open while cleaning etc.
