KCM831 error 0169 Please help? I'm assuming back-up batteries? Unable to locate the UPS. Look forward to someones response.

It runs fine from inside the car but will not respond to hall calls.

0169- The main line supply has been off to long or battery itself is broken
The automatic battery test has detected low battery

Replace the battery and start a 3 year cycle. Battery is in the cartop unit

You can set menu 5 parameter 14 to 22 to disable the battery supervision for 22 hours until you get a new battery.

Yeah, and when you open that car top box and ask yourself, " How the hell do I get that battery out of there?", simply loosen the two top phillips screws on the side ends of the box that support the battery and it folds down for easy access.

Yep, that was definitely a problem. The battery is bulging and actually charging @ 14VDC. We'll get it replaced and turn down the pot and hopefully that's it. Thanks for all your help.

The side of the car top box with the battery
Slides out. Loosen the battery holder screws
Then 2 on each side of the box at the top
And that side of the box will fold down.
Unless someone put a stop switch or something else
In the way hope this helps
