Could it possibly be overheating? If not and it is discrete wired, I would sell the customer a PLC programmed to register car calls to run floor to floor. If it is a lon job it would require more wiring and putting PLC on car top. You could also program it to give some time at terminals to cool the oil off. That thing would have to have smoking hot oil running constantly.
