Did you get a rank? Just now joining on here to see if anyone else is thinking they'll get hired in Chicago. I got ranked #21.

I ranked 46 and called the hall today to inquire about the hiring and they haven't hired anyone on the list yet. If anyone else in Chicago wants to keep each other updated if they get hired. Good luck

Congrats to both of you on a great rank! I thought I'd be a shoe-in for a good rank as I have an electrical engineering degree and I can weld and have done lots of mechanical projects, but I got a sh*tty rank in the 200's. I guess being an old fart > 50 probably hurt me.

For reference, my step-son was in the 50's on the last list, and he got called at just about the 1 year point. He loves the job and says they are wicked busy, expects lots of hiring once this list gets started.

From the last list, they got up to number 140 or so. Step-son knew a guy who was 4 or 5 steps away from getting hired next on that list, now on the new list he got ranked in the 400's!!

Hey there! Just popping in to see if any of you have called to see where they’re at on the list? I heard from someone that they may wait to call anyone until after the major holidays and then start calling groups at the start of the year. But I’m just curious!

Anybody hear anything yet? The list has been out for six months and every time I've called the automated response still says the next person to be called is #1

Nope, still nothing. Talked to my dad (he works in the union) he's guessing they'll start calling batches in April or so. Guessing that they're waiting for new construction to get started a bit before bringing in elevator crews.

Edit: What number are you calling? I'd be happy to give a few calls here and there too but don't know where to be directed.

I've been calling the IUEC Local 2 number and I keep getting the same automated message. I'm hoping they start hiring in the spring.

Okay take this lightly as it is just a rumor, but someone at neiep told my dad that a massive hire is about to take place by 3 companies in roughly 3 weeks. So we’re keeping our heads up for then and we’ll be sure to let you guys know if a call comes our way around then!
