well scott i know of someone who lost a finger using this tool ... when he went to open the bottom floor door he did so to quickly after the car took off and the car releveled down and open the door so as to not let the key hit the door buck he tried to get it out and the tip of his finger was smashed between the buck and the key resulting in the loss of half his finger...hope this helps ...be safe!!
