Have a 330a with varidor operator giving a 94 error with extra info 0000 0010. Gate switch isn’t hanging up, we’ve changed cio and 360 with new. Swapped crip and varidor unit with identical elev in the same building. Checked belt tension and all wiring. Problem keeps shutting unit down about once or twice a week. According to error description I would think the problem would either be caused by gate switch hanging up or circuit staying high, or the varidor thinking it’s on the virtual open limit for some reason when the doors are closed. Anyone have any suggestions

Probably you have a bad reed switch giving you this fault. There is 4 in total 1 for open slowdown and 1 for open final. Then 1 for close slowdown and 1 for close final. The close final I would bet is the one to change out. There’s a magnet on the door roller assembly that makes the reed switches change state. Make sure that there is about 1/8th clearance between magnet and reed switches.

There is only 1 switch at dcl. I’ve got other 330a’s with the tdcb board that have 4 switches. This has the varidor inverter box behind COP. I have no experience with these but I’m thinking it creates virtual limits when it does a learn run. And what I’m calling dcl, might just be a secondary gate switch?

Don’t know if you changed that switch out yet but it would not hurt to change it. Door not binding somehow? Sill clean behind the car door. Door track has no buildup at both ends? Fault 94 can mean so many things.

Door Limits usually give a 202 error. If it's 3.59 software, that is the culprit. Engineers always thought the version degraded, so a warranty update was done. 94 is usually contacts or timing of the hatch versus gate contacts. Weak spirator or bent gib can also cause 94 error.

I understand 94 is a catch all for door faults, but with extra info being 0000 0010, I would think it has to do with gate switch or open limit specifically. Huskervator, are you saying software version may be throwing me off into left field because the actual issue is a mismatch with the extra info? And I haven’t paid attention to software version yet so I can’t say what it is yet.

Yes, once we got 94's on 3.59 it was difficult to stop. Not sure if they give it under warranty or not to non SEC, but I'd ask. Adams should be able to get you what you need with the GO number. I'd also drain the cap on the GCIO for 10 minutes before putting new software in.
