I have a 5 stop Otis 211 roped hydro, and I have the governor at the top of the hoistway. I was trying to sort out how to test the governor for annual tests, we need to make sure the governor will pull the brakes on. Is there a 211 process for this? I see the knurled rollers at the back side of the governor sheave, and there is a 3 wire solenoid with a red pin, 1 second on 9 seconds off. There is also a rope grab tiny microswitch on the power board. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
