I’ve got a 400a that another mechanic changed the cop board in an attempt to fix a PI issue. It ran afterward a few times but then shutdown. I went out today and it runs on inspection and brakes pick like they should. When I flip it to normal the drive sounds like it’s trying to run but no brake pick. The acum board on the controller door has a 1 instead of 0 meaning “contract speed isn’t known”. If I run it on inspection and hold down learn speed button on acum board the 1 changes to 0 then to 6 shortly after car stops. Any info on how to get this contract speed learned?. I have cadi but no SIM card. I can’t remember exact fault but it just had to do with a failed attempt to run/move.

COP board has nothing to do with the ACUMNA board, you have another issue.

You cannot "Learn Contract Speed" running on inspection speed.

With a "1" fault on ACUMNA Board you have to reset it back to ZERO in order to run on auto.
Once you do this if you have NO other issues then you can run on auto to now perform the "Learn Contract Speed" procedure correctly.

And cadi will work fine without sim card

Do you have info on the learn contract speed procedure? I was certain changing the cop board had nothing to do with acumna. Maybe powering off and on during changing the board did something or just pure coincidence.

I think I need to enable kfm mode under special trips to learn contract speed on acumna board. I also think I need SIM card to get to that feature and the city actually has SIM cards for all three units.

Don't over think it and forget about the whole missing sim card thing. As long has you have cadi 3.10 you can do whatever you need(including KFM).

With that said you also don't need KFM or sim card to perform learn contract speed. The procedure is nothing more than ACUMNA board display the number "1" then running car on auto in the UP direction while pressing learn button. When successfully done the board will now read Zero and when running elevator again the contract speed LED #5 will be illuminated amber, if it is not then you have an underlying issue that needs to be resolved. Also don't be fooled just because elevator is running fine without contract speed LED being illuminated as it will do this ten times before ACUMNA board faults out again.

I understand I won’t need sim for kfm and learning contract speed but I’ve never done anything with a SIM card installed so I will probably see what all is additionally available when I go back next week. Do I need to do anything other than power off, install SIM card, and power back on for the SIM card to initiate?

Have tried this several times and it just stays at 5? Do you have any tips or suggestions because I feel like I am just not performing the learn correctly.

We just installed rope gripper on trx5. Acumna board shows E after a learn run and a machine room car call. Error on controller is safety circuit is out. Any ideas?
