infoman stranger I Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 2	Is it standard practice to leave on a portable transfer/filter pump recirculating oil in a hydraulic tank for more than 24 hours to filter out debri?

danzeitz addict D Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 671 st.louis mo	we have had several situations where this solved contaminated oil problems. Even the one where the cleaning lady thought the tank was the trash compactor!!!! We will wire the pick up and discharge hoses in place and let the car run.

Lid was off the tank while the constructors were adjuating the unit for inspection... Painter fell off the ladder and a bucket of oil based paint landed in the tank... "HMNN, OIL... OIL BASED PAINT... SCREW IT, RUN HER "... that lasted 2 trips... $10K later... it was running again... Last edited by Lift-Tech; 03/09/10 12:31 AM.
