There is a youtube video from hollister whitney. it is entitled machine maintenance procedures for hollister whitney elevator traction machines. It shows one way of tramming a motor. We also sometimes used a nylon interface between the motor and brake pulley, it made tramming easier on older worn machines. I cannot remember where we bought it though. Good Luck.
