I'm going to a job with 3 Otis controllers and need to put each one on construction mode to do my work so I can run with a pendant. I don't know yet what kind of controllers they are and my experience with Otis is almost zero. Will a Blue Tool allow me to put the controller on construction mode?
I realize I'm missing all pertinent info here but just trying to plan as much as I can.

I'm not an Otis guy and you're correct you're missing alot of info. But, Otis had to have run buttons to install it no matter what controller it is. So yes, it can be done. Which controller you have will determine what you need to do.

I guess more specifically my question is this, can I use the Blue Tool to put the controller in construction mode? And how do I do that?

You can wire a run bug into just about anything. Just wire it into the controller like it’s car top inspection with the safety circuit through the run bug stop switch. Then jump out the rest of the safety circuit, door locks, & gate.
