Got a 2000 roped hydro with a northern/thyssen controller. Repacked the rams today and when completed elevator would not return to auto. Will run on car top, safety chain all made up but when turn on auto does nothing. Not real familiar with these controllers any pointers would be appreciated thanks.

Just my WAG, but might it be that you have to plug into the controller with the specific “tool” (MAP for Northern, PCD for TK/U.S.) to reset any faults like a “low pressure” or coincidently a high fault counter number? Thyssen as well as others have their own trick to keep others out. Regardless the tool is necessary for for diagnostics etc.
