Hi friends,

I have a unit schindler 3300AP MRL. Sudden lift stopped and unable to inspection or normal.

On the display is :-
-000****
_ ??--70

I tried reset 101, same results.
-> checked Menu 50, i have some errors list:-
1. E 001531, E 480072, E 471531.

Is this due to encoder issue?

70 is drive communication problem

Thanks for reply. By understanding in manual article, 70 is elevator recovery.

recovering from a fault , normally drive communication problem, disconnect vf plug try to reset the cpu reconnect vf

chek status menu 30 for drive communication or other communication problem

Hi guys, sorry no reply back.

Here is the updated status for this 70 issue.
The lift at bottom floor, set Menu 10 2, 1 for open loop. Move the car inspection up for short distance, set back to 0, put back normal. The lift will run recovery and turn back to normal operation. It can run few times, after that sudden stopped and 70 is back.

For #NOTIME, did try disconnect wires all and put back. same issues.

C1:Battery connection missing or bad
A1:Check battery's connections
C2:Battery faulty (e.g. old)
A2:Replace battery
C3:Battery charging problem
A3:Check wiring to charging device. Check function of
charging device (charging voltage, fuses).

Errors same as before, 001531, 480072, 471531, 450072, 441531, 420072, 411531...so on.

Hi misigun. thanks for information. i suspect is encoder issue. tried unplug and plug in, still same issue.

i'm a bit confused this is a US version ?

cause the error log should be 4 numbers and you said error 420072 ,411531, a 6 numbers errors ?

Its error number 41 error code 1531
And error number 42 is error code 0072

Change the backup battery
For safety it cuts the lift off if insufficient charge
For emergency, it relies on backup battery, so it cuts the lift off , so you can replace backup battery

Has this been fixed? I have had to change several of the drives. The 1351, may be an effect, not the cause. The 72 says it's been off and the batteries are discharged too low to run. I would clear the errors, menu 50 submenu 5 set it to 1. Then see what happens menu 50 submenu 1 will show the errors it has. If the unit is shut off and the batteries in the TSU are not unplugged, they will discharge and it will not run at all even on PEBO. I have had to sit a good set of batteries outside the LDU and use them. Traveler 11 is the door zone, unplug it and PEBO it up, Take the escape hatch loose and get a ladder in the car to get on top.

on normal display is showing any status ?

try : command 102 - 1 next 101 (Reset Command) if car run is a bad encoder :
car with status 74 will not run, will need new batteries even if you have 24v the system know batteries has no amps to run safe

- this i need to look into it.
- on normal display is showing any status ? > if reset, or 101-1 reset or even power supply off/on. immediately shows ??- 70
- tried this 102-1, make the car moved little bit. set back to 0. The lift is normal operation but only 1-2 rides, immediately stop and ??-70.

I don't know of any batteries in the LDU. I can make a guess this is not in the U.S.A.? Australia? I would say we need more pictures.

Batteries are critical. I have had units that someone thought they could put any budget battery in there create constant issues. The drive has a board called the CANIVF which is a royal pain. It is what talks to the rest of the system. Schindler doesn't sell it. They will repair your drive for a price worthy of grabbing your ankles. If the unit boots after pulling the VF plug, chances are this is your issue. But...bad batteries will cause the SEMNA board to constantly trip. So make sure the batteries in the TSU (mounted box in hatch adj to top floor) are good and of the same Amphours rating.

How often should the batteries be replaced?

The batteries need to have a full charge if they don’t you will get the 72. Even if it still reads close to but still under it can throw that fault. You should be able to run on inspection even with the batteries dead just won’t run on normal till they’re replaced. How many snow flakes come up when you try to run? If you changed the drive I would change the encoder or maybe do a learn trip and see if the problem goes away. Learn trip is a 116
