Do you guys ground interlock boxes on modernizations ? For instance new GAL interlocks have a place for it .. do they want you to ground it back to the controller ?

Yes, run a ground from your controller up your gutter and T splice out to ground/bond all your interlocks, hall PI/lanterns, and hall station boxes.

It’s NEC code to ground all raceway…. And besides the safety reasons, which are serious, grounding is critical with modern communication protocols to keep noise to a minimum.
