Anyone know of a reliable, technically competent elevator company in the Orlando area. I am a board of director for an HOA. We have 14 elevators with 3 stops, hydraulic. We have gone thru about 3 or 4 companies with very poor results. Our latest wants to charge us $2800 to replace a GFIC socket in the pit. We have had one elevator out for almost a year They wanted to replace our Mowery boards with Sunrise. But I told them I wanted MCE- we had a fight over this. I want to get rid of them because I no longer trust them. but need seem advise on someone reliable and honest -thanks.

I can tell you who I would NOT recommend.
But really it is very common for a customer to spec what they want. You are wise to want MCE equipment. Any reputable company would have no problem installing that. Around here it's actually very common to see jobs installed by Otis or Kone or smaller union shops that are VA controls or MCE because the customer spec'd it and they wanted to do the job.
It can be hard. It's a small trade and some areas don't have alot of options. It can be hard to get good Info. Most elevator salesfolks should be Glad there's no criminal charges for their behavior, they aint going to tell you once you sign all the immoral things that theyll do after.
One route you could go is call your inspector. They know the lay of the land. They know who is a train wreck and whose running a tight ship. They work with all the companies. Getting an inspector to talk or give you info would be great but it depends on the guy, might have to call a few inspectors.
