We are finally getting rid of a Triplex of T-4 20 stops. Looking for best practices on keeping the disruption to traffic flow to a minimum. There are two risers, when we turn the first one over for use, and start on one on the other cars, there will be two riser's that operates two different elevator's. First thoughts are to have one dedicated to lower floors and the other to higher floors.

Even more troubling, the upgraded elevator will work differently from the one that is still to be upgraded on fire service.

Please offer insight as to what has worked well on other projects.

Most controller manufacturers will sell a dispatch panel that will send calls to the old and new controllers and cancel the call when a car arrives. It will give you a place to send fire service signals to both old and new controllers. We found that any work you can do prior to start of new controller installation helps speed up the job and makes the old cars more reliable. An example would be rebuilding all the hall doors. You can turn cars back on at night and weekends while getting weeks of work done. Recable if keeping machines. Brake job, flush and refill buffers are just some things. Depends on job specs. You can cut in and mount hall boxes. We won jobs not for low price but because we could compete a project weeeks or months faster by doing work while controllers and fixtures are being made.
