So got a TKE ICON unit giving me these door faults. Replaced the door board, still getting same faults. Thinking to maybe change wiring harness next from CWIK to door board. Anyone seen anything similar to this?
See attachment. Thanks

Those aren’t really door faults. More like door related faults. The 1006 and 1004 faults are door locks needing adjustment or cleaning and the watchdogs are saying the controller tried to open or close the doors but timed out. You want to look in the door diagnostic window to see what faults are in the door board. If the door faults out and shuts down all you’ll have in IMS are those watchdog faults. You have to go to the door to see why it shut down.

Changed the harness & cleaned contacts, still getting door watchdog faults 1041 but also encoder faults.at terminal floors. 1062 fault very intermittent. Not sure if there is any relationship between the faults, also getting no comm with the 1062 fault. See attached photo. Car runs, but eventually keeps faulting out on 1041 & 1062.

1062 can be caused by a gap in your slowdown magnets. I've replaced several door motors now and had 1040,41,49 faults. Or try the door open limit?

What operator is it? Is it the HD or single belt (LD)? either way I would say door motor/encoder is the issue. Possibly a landing system magnet issue.

Still having a problem with this unit with comm loss between the door board and the controller. Still get Door Watchdog 1041, but also getting from Door Operator 2063 & 2064.The doors just randomly stop working sitting at floor level. Have to reset the door board or remove power to get the doors to operate again. Checked resistance between PSC/NSC got 56 ohms which is supposed to be good. Have replaced the door board more than once (currently a PA6) with a DC motor and replaced the 188e board and the problem still comes back. Very intermittent, can go a day or a week without faulting out. Could the CWI board possibly be the issue? Or the TCID? Anyone know the voltage from NSC to ground and PSC to ground?

I’m not sure what the voltage on the 485 comm should be but I would try swapping the shielded pair with the phone line

Never worked on an ICON before but the PA6 gives me fond memories of encoder issues CAUSING these faults. Encoder gets lost, doors don’t close properly, watchdogs pop up. Really poor design on trying to figure the cause and effect.

Check all wires are stripped properly,1/4” or better just so you can see a smidge of copper, believe on the TKE we had a ferrite magnet to clean communication? Not sure if valid here. Verify encoder is seated and wired correctly. Replace encoder.
