This isn’t so much a technical question, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any good books or manuals on troubleshooting and/or repairing hydraulic elevator systems. I’m a troubleshooter but my experience in the mechanical end of hydraulic systems is lacking. I can make my way through adjusting valve units, and have read all of the documentation I can get my hands on for the valve units I come across, but would like to get better with diagnosing issues and procedures for isolation which part of the system is having an issue.
If anyone can’t point me to anything that would help, ide greatly appreciate it. I’ve bought the Zack McCain “Elevator Maintenance Manual” which has a hydraulic section, but didn’t really offer any new info or help in understanding the system, appropriate pressures/procedures, etc.
