Yeah alot of little shops try to get them to mod, but that's less dishonest than the big 4 manipulating architects to get them to spec a proprietary unit on the building plans knowing their going to cost the owner far more money in the long run, but schindler/otis/kone made their money installing a traction in a 2 story building to go 8 feet.
