Having issues with a Dover DMC. Original issue was that car would not run in the up direction on automatic without shutting down. Car would run up on inspect, and would level down to the first floor fine when taken off of inspection. However when given a call to the 2nd floor, the contactor would pick, and immediately shutdown the car. You could hear the CLC board reset afterwards. Was troubleshooting using the DMC fast tool, when all communication with all systems was lost. LED was off on CLC and car would no longer run on inspection. Checked power supply and found no issues. Unplugging the selector and door operator did not restore communication with the CLC. Verified COP toggle switch was properly working. Replaced CLC board and used original chips, with exact same issue. Replaced the power supply and was able to restore some communication with the selector and door operator, but no communication with CLC. By "some" communication i mean that the FAST tool recognizes the selector and door operator, but will not show status. LED on CLC has remained off.

The first part all sounds like power supply. You said it tested okay but you need 5.1 vdc to the CLC card and virtually no AC on it. Now that you’ve replaced the power supply make sure it’s adjusted to 5.1 on the CLC card, you can grab the right side of any of the larger caps for + and the GND stud for -. Set the 12v output to 10.75, at the power supply is fine. It’s important to know that all you need to get that watchdog LED on the CLC is a solid 5.1vdc, a good board, and good, compatible software. If you went from a pre BP4 CLC (BP1, BP2, or the older one that just has a part number) to a BP4 CLC your software is not compatible. If that’s the case I’d try installing the old board with the old software because I believe your problem was the power supply. If you have to use a BP4, and your original board was not one, you’ll need new software.
