What is the reason for the reliever setting in the user menu? Why is that even an option to turn releveling on or off?

I am not super familiar with smartrise but the re-level option is on various controllers to have the option to re-level with doors open, closed, or not at all. I guess in some situations you wouldn’t want it to re-level with a bad packing with the doors open etc in an old folks home or something that could possibly cause injury or lawsuit …. Just my .02

If an elevator is re-leaving obviously I would find the route cause and correct it but I would have a safety mindset about it before walking away..

Well on the Smartrise if relevel is off, the car can drop below floor level and won’t relevel until it drops out of DZ. I’ve got one in a bldg that isn’t used much and it won’t relevel until it drops out of DZ.

To answer your question I believe smartrise gives you the option bc you have to be able to turn it off to dial in the floor levels from the cop.

Again I’m not really familiar with smartrise but you may be able to adjust the count to give it a tighter tolerance to relevel before it is out of dz

Yes. It's to turn releveling off to adjust your floor levels. But really, if your car needs to relevel when it stops you need to adjust more than your floor levels.

I think it's slightly dangerous, it can just be turned off and the car left. It should be a timed function, like it turns off for 15 minutes or it only will run on independent service when off. Something to prevent a forgetful moment from causing an accident when someone trips getting in a car 2 inches below the floor
