Does anybody have a wiring diagram for the 6300PA door boards? Specifically, the connections for discrete door open, close, nudge, and common? I think it's the only push on connector, 4 pin, as all the other connectors are in the manual.

They need an expansion board to be fully discreet

Thanks Dirt, do you know the board number?

It’s an SPI loop so you need 2 CAT 5 cables

For 24 or 48 vdc inputs 6300TX1
For 110 vac 6300TX2
For 240 vdc 6300TX3

Then you’ll need a 6300HL1 UIT for adjustment.
Typically you can use appropriate standard door profile and just change DCI & DOI to 1.

$300 for the UIT, $1000 for the expansion board, $1500 for the door board. Too much $$. I'm trying to keep the HD98 door operator mechanical parts and run the door board discrete when doing a mod on a DMC. They are a good operator, hate to swap with a GAL.... I thought those TKE door boards had a direct discrete input option.

I didn’t say it was a good idea…
Other options would be a 6300ABN3 the update to the old Smartech used on TAC-50. Than would require a separate box.
You could use a Smartech II, that’s a box with a PA door board and a different expansion board.
You could probably add that board to the PA board yourself like an HD-LM, the one with the little door box on top with the expansion board. That one is 6300AAR1 and includes the UIT. That would be a better setup I think but don’t know what it costs.
Or you could use something like an MCE SmartTRAQ. I’ve seen those used on an HD-98 operator.

6300aar1 is $1,100 IDWT will the 6300aar1 work with any of the existing door dover boards?

If that works it would be a big time saver. We have been swapping over to the GAL Linear units.

Will look at that on the next one that is upcoming.

DANDAMAN what controller are you using?

Ya, a PA board is all that’s inside an HD-LM or a Smartech II. PA6 for 1/6hp DC motor and PA7 for 1/2hp AC. But those are just what’s typical. Either board will run an AC or DC motor, the PA7 is just a bit beefier.
The only thing I’m not sure on is I’ve only seen those on TK equipment. The PA board and AAR1 are on the CAN channel. I’m almost positive they will communicate with each other independent of the controller, Just never seen it. I think I have the parts on my van though, I’ll see if I can test it out over the weekend.

I can confirm that the AAR1 board communicates with the PA door boards over CAN with or without a controller. I have a door simulator with a PA6 board that I can connect to a TAC20 sim or 32 bit sim. Without a controller, I powered the AAR1 card with 24vdc and connected it to the PA6 board with a 3 pin CAN cable. Without changing any parameters I could give the AAR1 discrete open & close inputs and the sim worked great. There are jumpers to select between 24-48vdc and 120vac inputs and it has relay outputs for limits. The actual limits can be on the card edge or external, wired to the connector on the PA board like a linear door with ELI set to 1.

I am doing this on an LD-03 trying to do discete 120vac. I plan on ordering my 6300AAR1 thru vertical express with the UIT on it. Looks like the 6300AAR1 hs a CON5 10 pin. If wanting the 120vac option, I am assuming you put your 120vac common to CON5-9 while you have CON5-5 DO, CON5-6 DC, CON5-7 NDG. What else am I missing besides putting the 3 pin CAN cable from the PA board (was in CON7) to the CON2?

I sent you some thing. You’ll want to put the CAN termination jumpers (or resistors for a 6300PA3) on the door board on and the jumpers on the AAR boars on so you end up with the correct 60 ohms on the CAN channel.

Hi, I am trying to make the ABN3 run (testing) with DC motor, encoder, switches for OD, CD, NDG and the cams on motor shaft for DOL and DCL. I was able to make it run using MDC and MDO on board, but no with the OD CD NDG switches, I can measure OD/CD/NDG switches okay on Q2~Q4. It seems it is in inspection that blocks OD CD NDG. What I am missing? I got LEds lit DOL/DCL when the motor shaft cams switches reach DOL/DCL, but the corresponding relays K1~k4 did not click. Tested 3 boards already, same issue. Setting manual speed for open/close to 260 I was able to make the motor run nicely with MDC/MDO. Using setup for Harmonic DC motor. Using 6300HL1 LCD+4 switches for setup. This board has no RS485/CAN communication (as far as I can see). Can anyone help me ? Thanks.

Improvements: Select Motor GE 1/6HP, and reversed DOL cam switch to N/C during mid travel. When selecting GE 1/6HP, it loads a profile with SYSTEM ADJ DCI = 1, what means Discrete Controller Interface (open/close/nudge by wire, not communication). What I have now is a forced bump after the door closes, trying to find what parameter can control that force.

Found BOARD ADJ CTL = 10, changed gradually to = 3 and it stopped bumped door after closes.

Read page 26 (OIM bits) from book "HC11 Door Operator with UIT" from Vertical Express, in order to define the polarity of the relays outputs on CON5 of 6300ABN3 board. In order to reach OIM on Control/ADJ you need to have MAL=1 on System/ADJ.
