You run the hoistway scan on inspection. Are you saying something is stopping you from running up on inspection and running the car down?

Yes exactly you can't even get out of floor while still holding up and enable car just runs down to floor level and generated fault CLC 020-003 .talk to tec support today there sending new selector board , sensor board, and CLC.while waiting for the engineer I decided to pull lower limit tree off side of car gonna change all those switches out even know the we're verified working maybe intermittent issue

Something has to be more wrong than a board I think. Inspection on a DMC is entirely relay logic. Look at the simplified wiring diagram in the back of the FAST Guide and see what is either forcing the down relays to pick or forcing the down valve to pick. I was thinking LE output bad before but there shouldn’t even be 24vdc to the output when the car is on inspection and 0v at INB.

So oddly enough if I run the car up from ac out to uss1 get it away from floor off limits I can run normal on inspection up and down no relevel that only happens at bottom floor and also if at that point I put car back on normal car levels in to bottom floor.

Run it up on inspection until it stops then close the ball valve so it can’t level down. Or lift DSS1 and run it up til it stops, it’ll try to level back down but wont be able to so you have plenty of time to see where this down command is coming from. Something is picking the down relays that should not be. Sure sounds like the level enable circuit but there shouldn’t be 24v there on inspection. How about this, if you run the car below the floor on inspection does it level back up?

So today changed out all limit tree switch's except one did not have but verified it was working.changed out top of car inspection switch ,changed out selector card and auxiliary sensor card .still have issues .when running from top of car at 1st floor put on INSPECT IN relay drops in controller attempt to run up IN relay picks in controller and immediately runs back down to floor level. Is IN relay supposed to pick during inspection run ? You can also see this on laptop CLC/variables IN goes from red to blue changing state is this correct? The one thing I have to look at is the installation of the main sensor card I was not present when that was installed can that be installed wrong direction or orientation I have never done one of these so Im not sure have to verify that could something like this create this issue again I'm not sure.

No, that is not right. That’s the problem. Sounds like a wiring problem in the inspection circuit like INU is connected to INB. Could be wires shorted together in the traveler or just a major mistake replacing parts of the car top inspection station. You can run these on machine room inspection by pulling the INB wire then touching the wire with 24v on it to INU for up and IND for down. That would be a good way to isolate the problem a bit. If it still does it, 24v is connecting to IN, if it doesn’t do it, 24v is connecting to INB.

I got it so IN in controller relay has to be out thats what I thought. And we did replace the top of car inspection
switch but just on /off switch not the run/enable switch although I'm certain the switch was put back the same I took pictures not saying it's correct but the same as removed .we talked about that today for awhile I'll double check those wires I'm pretty sure I verified IN and INB but like u said it's getting a feed from somewhere that's good info I'll verify all the wires and if shorted there's plenty of spares.thanks for the help I'll let u know how make out

So back on job seems as though I'm getting 26 vdc. Feed thru traveler to IN stud T1 9-10 in controller relay board that's picking relay IN. Remove traveler wire to IN stud relay board and in dose not pick but then car still levels down..two things why do u have feed from IN SWING RETURN to from IN stud block to controller in witch is connect to INB in controller and in turn pick relay IN taking it off inspection and why still leveling down?? Got me stumped is it in programming?

This is not programming! Inspection is all relay logic. As long as the IN input is low the CPU isn’t doing anything. The problem is something is making IN high so the CPU turns on Level Enable, you have DZ and LD picked so it levels down.

Here’s the print. The blue lines are travel cable wires. The left end is a terminal in the COP and the right end is a terminal on the relay board in the controller. When you lift the travel cable wire on T1-9, 10 you’ve isolated the car side and IN travel cable wire from the relay board and INB circuit. Since the IN relay doesn’t pick you’ve ruled out anything on the relay board and the INB circuit. There is still 24v on the IN travel cable though so the IN input is on and the elevator thinks it’s on auto. Now you need to lift the COP end of the IN traveler and see if the voltage is coming from the travel cable wire itself or something else. The something else here should just be a black wire running to the CLC jumping through LCC5 and to LCC1 yellow MTA connectors.

Back on job thanks indirtweteust for the print and info turns out to be the relay board defective changed out that problem went away can now do learn trip but not without faults car continues to have CHS CLC status after learn trip with CLC fault generated 02-003 which says slow down occurred at wrong time explanation defective CLC defective selector card or wiring harness problem. No other faults.looks like this CHS (car homing shutdown) is a (contract software option).really would like to know how to deselect this or turn off. And info on that fault 020-003

Is it failing the hoistway scan or do you end up with floor heights in SEL PAR 1,2,3, etc. Have you ran the length of the hoistway on inspection watching the slowdown IOs to make sure they’re right? I’ve never seen the CHS thing. Does it have an expansion board? Maybe try disconnecting it if it’s not used for anything else. Do your software chips say SP on them for special? Maybe you could try using a standard version software.

Dose hoist way scan complete save all sel parameters confirm .car levels in but will not take call door open buttons works ,CHS pops up in the CLC status fault 020-003 CLC fault say slowdown signal at improper time ran hoist way UTS/DTS go high and low correctly seen on laptop CLC variables cars only 2 stop not intermediate floor CHS is strange I also have never seen we have tec support we have changed software twice replace all boards more than once they also do know .could be in harness I think

Have you read the page about CHS in the manual? Says it requires SP software. Input should be XI3 on a DMC-1 or XI2 on a DMC-1A. Do you have an expansion card? Does it still do it when it’s not connected if you do? Is XI3 high in CLC variables. I’m much less concerned with the 20-03 fault.

Had not seen the page, only manual I have is copied on my per computer what page ??I'll definitely look it up and read and pass on to our tec support and a mechanic that is one of the best we use for impossible jobs like this good dude and extremely smart also do not have any expansion board that I can see ,so that input x12 or x13 is that on expansion board? Or CLC .We had the original software copied from original chips and sent new chips. what version I'll have to confirm.that company not sure of the name but the Tecs name is Isa have u heard of him anyhow nice guys I don't have a lot of faith in them though from previous jobs. Definitely thank for the info OH just thinking out loud there is a emergency battery lowing board in control dover board could this be it not sure

Those inputs are on the expansion board. If it doesn’t have one maybe it needs one with that software. I suggest getting truly generic software DK13 for a BP4 CLC or AN13 for any older CLC.
