Have a kcm831 that was powered off for a few days with the batteries unplugged and now I'm getting a 1401 and 75 fault.

Code
0075 61:U input missing
61:U Input not found
Broken wire in traveling cable

1401 LCE can't see first floor front side control board (FCB)
Side (A/B) jumper in wrong position.
Check FCB power supply +24V (green led).
Check wiring.
FCB board missing.
Roll call chain broken.
Check AS-10.22.042 for troubleshooting

Check car com / shaft com / +24v +5v leds on the lce board, bottom left, they should be lit. I'm guessing you are probably missing at least shaft com light.

Check first FCB board, probably in your hall call box top or bottom terminal floor could be bad

Check / jiggle plugs on lce board

Check rec board voltages

Try doing a 5-7-1 to repopulate boards. see if shaft com light returns. If no, take the other terminal floor fcb and plug it into your first fcb board wiring then do a 5-7-1. If light returns you have a bad fcb (this works for HAS boards, im assuming it does for fcb boards too)

You may have lost parameters. in which case youll have to reinput params / shaft setup / adon learn / 5-7-1 (youll probably want write ups on these which i dont have right this second)

Check roll call direction 5:4 matches your wiring (whether the chain starts at top or bottom)

Unlikely but if its a group of cars cant hurt to check the car identifier does not match other cars (if it does you probably lost paramters)

if you lost parameters you probably have a bad chip on your lce board. params will be lost again upon power down. you used to be able to replace this chip, but i dont know if that is the case anymore or if it is even available. you may need to get a new cpu.

I think the chip is part # KM275148.
cpu561 part # KM773390G05.
cpu40 part # KM773380G04

cant think of anything else right now. sorry for the shotgun blast. i will update this post if something else comes to me. good luck

I'm guessing it has lost some of its parameters. Car communication is not lit up on the controller. Front + rear opening and the rear operator doesn't even try to pick up when moving on inspection. Did a reset and the car leveled up to the top limit and can't seem to get it to move down, what's the secret to jumping out that top limit?

i believe it was xh1 1-5 on the adon board. you should probably verify on the prints. try a 5-7-1 afterwards. you do have shaft com light lit?

Odd, I would expect to see shaft com out with a 1401. Are you sure 1401 and 75 are your only active faults? Clear your fault log (turn E 2 to 1 then back to 0 cycle power) and see what else comes up in the list. Try changing a couple of parameters (like door dwell timer nudging timer ect) then cycle power. Check to see if they are retained upon power up. If they return to default you can expect to replace the cpu.

If I'm not mistaken you need to replace the CPU internal pancake battery then restore all other parameters hopefully from a similar controller.

Why would yall replace the entire cpu when it's the battery backed RAM "dallas" chip that's failed. When I had one go we just replaced the Dallas chip

This was suggested in my first reply. Where do you guys source the chip from? It has been a few years since we replaced one and i cant remember where we got it
