Uppo72. Yeah I thought it was just "out of step" and didn't know where it was in the shaft. I can move the lift on inspection from the car top and if I leave it between floors and get off and return it to normal operation, the lift just sits there. As far as the controller goes maybe it goes by another mark in England than from over there. It's a hydraulic, and the Cabinet has 3 boards inside. It has a large board with relays mounted on it called RB (relay board) and a processor marked up as LB (logic board) where the inputs are displayed vertically next to a small segment display with two small black buttons used to programme the logic board. The water in the pit has caused problems before....over the last 20 years (since the installation was commissioned) there has been problems with water entering the pit and problems with software failures
