TAC20-03 keeps giving me 1040 faults at 1st & 4th floor. Doors keeps cycling open/closed but not at 2 & 3. PA6 board, settings are correct for linear operator. Not seeing DCL. If I squeeze belt, DCL will come on. It’s like door is relaxing after closing. Did a new Learn Travel, no difference. Looking for any ideas. TIA

I've seen the reacting vane on the Clutch hang up on the stationary pick up roller. Moving the doors slowly by hand.

Just had this happen on an elevator, and the "Troubleshooter" had to go out.

I found extreme build up of dirt on the hanger track. Quick hanger track maintenance took care of the issue.

On to the next...

As was mentioned, “door ramps” or an accumulation of semi hard gunk builds up on the door tracks where door travel stops. Eventually this “ramp” causes the hall door or car door to initially make up, but then drift off the limit or lift/separate the lock contacts enough to loose DL input or DG, DCL inputs. Sanding the tracks regularly avoids this all to common issue.
Also check:
Spring tension on the reel closer.
Door operator belt for wear when on the door motor sheave
as this will cause DCL failure and failure at “squeeze” when initiating a run.
