When I run into RSL issues I usually start by routining all the RSL connections. It’s time consuming but make sure all the IDC connections are in good order. Verify line terminators are set properly. The good thing is yours sounds like it happens often. I would start by disconnecting your car RSL or a majority of the car RSL boards (buttons, PI, etc.) and see if it clears the issue.
