In my opinion, HPLIM door operators were a sham to begin with. Who the heck in their right mind would buy an overbuilt piece of technology just to operate a set of elev. doors. New tech is great, but should never be taken too far. The mechanical and electronic logic of the modern European style door operator always did logically made more sense. A maglev style door operator needing a bulky hi-fi processor should have been the dead giveaway that the concept wouldn't last long in the field. Usually when a new concept looks too good to be true. It normally is too good to be true. This is why the product didn't last long in the field. Remember the saying when buying big ticket items: Buy what you need. Reasonably consider both the pros and cons of what you both need and want.
