We have a Kcm that hoistway access is not working when you key it onto access in the car it throws a 65 error and immediately closes the car door. Tried a new adon board and it does the same thing. Verified key switch wiring to the car too board and menu 4-1 says it’s on inspection but it will not run on access. Anyone ever experienced anything like this?

Did you check and or change the HAS board for that landing? If so did you do a lon download?

K442 Relay is de-energized for car to be on Inspection mode.
Controlling the K442 Relay is by switches on the ground side of the circuit.
K442:1 Relay is energized for car to be on Hoistway Access.

Have you checked 7-70 your top floor access #?. I had this change to 0 b4 by itself and an inspector came out and wrote it up. Wouldn't work.

K442 is de-energizing and K442:1 is energized after keying the in car hoistway access switch. As soon as we do that the car is getting a 65 error and the car door powers closed. I’m thinking the LCE is not getting the signal from the adon card? Might try a new ribbon cable if I can get back over there today. 7-70 is set correctly and the route mechanic did try new has boards and performed the Lon download. 5-7-1

The elevator thinks it is on cartop inspection, or MR inspection. Could be a wiring mistake. You may want to meter the inspection circuit with the wiring diagram.
