I've never seen or used a Kone service tool before, and we recently purchased the service tool laptop from Kone. The only software is Miprom1 and Miprom21 but this job is a KCM831... (Neither of which would connect) What would be the correct application for this controller?

What is used to monitor IO and setting up the LON network etc?

The CPU is how you see most of that. If you have a the laptop you can use that for programming the cop or you can flash program it manually with the special key switch they have.

Everything is done through the UI on the CPU. There is a program that requires a special LON interface but Kone won’t sell it to you. If you need to setup a whole COP or several buttons at once you have to buy the programming key switch from Kone then go through a procedure to clear config and reprogram.
