General was one of the Rotary dealers. Rotary eventually morphed into the Miami Elevator/Dover branding. General continued selling the Miami Elevator/Dover stuff up until Thyssen bought Krupp. I'm not sure if the traction Generals were derived from Dover/Rotary equipment, but the hydros were. Maybe you could get help from TKE.
