I am an employee for a small, private college that has a vertical platform lift in a residence hall. The lift is a 2011 National Wheel-O-Vator (Division of ThyssenKrupp). I don't think either are in business any longer. In the four years that I have been employed I think it has been used twice. In Spring of 2024 it failed inspection due to inoperable. Schindler services our other elevators and agreed to take a look at it for a price. After many hours of troubleshooting it was determined to have a fuse blown w/circuit board that caused a disruption in the control board; door wiring was not correct, and the unit was out of oil. Fixed the first two issues, but could not find the leak. Passed 2025 inspection. Has not been operated since then. Lo and behold it fails Spring 2026 inspection - inoperable, no oil. Again, can't find the leak. Any ideas?
