TPU Escalator Handrail Brands and Market Landscape

Unlike the rubber handrail market, the TPU handrail market is currently relatively concentrated, with suppliers generally divided into the following three tiers.

Tier 1: EHC

EHC is currently the main supplier of TPU escalator handrails worldwide and a leading brand in this market segment.

At present, TPU handrails used by escalator OEMs worldwide are supplied by EHC. EHC holds a leading position in the TPU handrail market and is the first brand buyers should consider when sourcing TPU escalator handrails.

Tier 2: Twinikel

Twinikel is another brand worth noting in the TPU handrail market.

Previously, Twinikel had the potential to challenge EHC's leading position in the TPU handrail market. However, it ultimately failed to secure any orders from escalator OEMs.

As a result, Twinikel's current business is mainly focused on the maintenance and replacement market, and it has not entered the supply chains of escalator OEMs.

Tier 3: Other TPU Handrail Manufacturers

In addition to EHC and Twinikel, other manufacturers also produce TPU escalator handrails.

Based on our market experience, these manufacturers offer less assurance in terms of quality control and product consistency. Buyers should therefore pay particular attention to product quality, batch-to-batch consistency, and actual performance in service when considering these products.

For projects with high quality requirements, we do not recommend choosing these products based on low prices alone.
