Sounds as if its trying to zone further up and it cant go any further
Check to make sure your selector contacts are operating properly and when they are suppose to. DGD, DGU and DG timing is critical. Ive had quite a few similar to this that have ended up being bad selector contacts or bad selector traveling cables.
