depends if it is a compulsory or non-compulsory corrective instruction. ci's are usually for reliability issues for units otis services. its not a safety recall like in the automotive field.
Ends up being an issue with software and the door detector . So it would seem to be a safety issue. Also,they are not giving any hours for it. 30 minute upgrade in software turns into a 6 hour shutdown.
