Is the car always shut down at the first floor with an up direction? Couple of ideas in addition to Scott's ideas. Check the LRA relay to see if it buzzes a lot when the generator first turns on. The audio noise from this relay will sometimes cause an EAO event and drop EME. Also check AM contact 5 and M contact 13-14 if my memory is right. These contacts are large for the circuit they are in. This is basically your "go" signal to the regulator. The problem is that the 24 volt inputs into the PATT and Amp board don't draw much current. This the case for U, D 13-14 as well as the EME contact 13-14 which are also inputs into the electronic speed control. One of the fixes for these input problems is to load the contact with about a 200 ohm 10 watt resister to SBW. This forces the contact to draw more current and thus become more reliable. Haughton Goldflite has movs that need replaceing on all the E type relays. They are most likely there but are doing nothing due to their age.
