It's been quite awhile ago, but saw a post about someone sabotaging the Dover DMC's by cutting a resistor by the COP battery. If the resistor was clipped, the battery backup would not function. Does anyone remember the resistor number? I think, that I may have had some hanky panky played on me. Looked carefully today and didn't see an obvious resistor clipped. If my feeble memory is still working a bit, I recall it being resistor 54, 55, or one in the 50's......PLEASE HELP....can't keep reprogramming this thing everytimemthe power blips......Thanks

not a resistor, it is the d4 diode, just to the upper left of the battery. hook your meter to the ground connection on the clc board. you should have 3 volts on the anode of d4, this will let you know that the battery and the holder it sits in is ok. if you do not have 3 volts, which is the battery voltage, do not turn off the unit. the cathode side of the d4 diode is the 5 volt supply from the power supply.
